Careers

The Oh Lab is dedicated to providing the ideal environment for passionate scientists and engineers to engage in problems addressing grand challenges of our time – clean water, clean energy, and biomedical separation. Our approach is multidisciplinary, spanning disciplines from chemical engineering, chemistry, and materials science and engineering. We are currently seeking for enthusiastic, dedicated, and exceptional candidates who share our passion. If you are interested in joining the Oh Lab, please contact Prof. Hee Jeung Oh via email.

What you can expect in Oh lab:

You will learn to systematically apply the scientific method to research problems. You will learn to perform experimental research addressing some of the most important, fundamental problems in the filed today.  You will work on problems addressing grand challenges of our time (clean water, environment, energy, and biomedical separations). You will learn to write effectively and persuasively. You will learn to deliver influential oral technical presentations. You will become a member of a worldwide community and a family of colleagues sharing common interests. Most importantly, you will have fun!

Prospective Ph.D. Students

If you are interested in the design of multifunctional polymer membranes for energy-efficient separations, in particularly for clean water, energy, environment and health, and/or you have strong background in polymers and membranes, I invited you to apply for Ph.D. positions in Materials Science and Engineering, Chemical Engineering and Chemistry.

Materials Science and Engineering (Direct Admission): Submission due is early January (Link)

Chemical Engineering: Submission due is December 15 (early admission) and January 8 (regular admission (Link)
